ONE of the seven persons who sustained injuries after a vehicle crashed into a bank along Quirino Highway, Quezon City on Thursday has died, according to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
In a report on Friday, QCPD said Rosali de la Cruz died around midnight hours after the accident in Barangay Pasong Putik.
Two other victims, a bank employee and security guard, have been discharged from hospital, while the four others are still admitted and recuperating.
Based on CCTV footage, police said the sports utility vehicle driven by Edwin Balisong, 57, was in front of the bank and was backing up when it bumped the front portion of another car.
As he tried to drive forward, Balisong reportedly made a mistake and failed to step on the brakes, thus causing the crash.
The video also showed that Balisong’s vehicle ran over the victims twice.
