THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) believes that Indonesian authorities are close to apprehending Wesley Guo, the alleged sibling of the ousted mayor of Bamban, Alice Guo.
According to BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval last Friday, Wesley has no travel records outside Indonesia and is presumed to be staying within the country. Last Thursday, the BI stated that Indonesian authorities were looking for Wesley.
Sandoval mentioned that their counterparts in Indonesia provided significant assistance following the arrest of Alice Guo in Tangerang City on Wednesday morning. The former mayor was brought back to the Philippines early Friday morning. Indonesian authorities also successfully apprehended Alice and Wesley, believed to be siblings of Shiela Guo, along with Cassandra Li Ong in Batam City in August.
Earlier, lawyer Stephen David, Guo’s legal counsel, mentioned that Wesley expressed a desire to surrender. However, their camp is unaware of his whereabouts. Authorities previously stated that Wesley, among the personalities ordered to be arrested by the Senate, attempted to fly to Hong Kong in the last week of August.
According to Shiela, she left the Philippines with Alice and Wesley through three boat rides to Malaysia. From there, they flew to Singapore and then traveled to Batam, Indonesia by ferry. Shiela mentioned that she parted ways with Wesley and Alice in Batam, Indonesia, where they were arrested with Cassandra Li Ong.
Shiela stated that Ong is the authorized representative of Lucky South 99, a raided POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga. Ong is allegedly in a relationship with Wesley.
