THE Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced on Thursday, January 15, that Chinese businessmen and tourists will be permitted to enter the Philippines visa-free, effective January 16, 2026.
According to the DFA, Chinese nationals traveling to the Philippines strictly for tourism or business purposes will be eligible for the new visa-free entry privilege.
This privilege allows for a non-extendable 14-day stay, which cannot be converted to any other type of Philippine visa category.
The visa-free entry will be valid only through the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Metro Manila and the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) in Cebu.
Upon arrival, Chinese nationals will be required to present a passport valid for at least six months beyond their intended stay, confirmed hotel accommodation or booking, and a return or onward ticket to their next country of destination.
