
A SHOOTOUT during a buy-bust operation in Goodwill 3 village, Barangay San Antonio, Parañaque City on Wednesday evening, April 9, resulted in the death of the suspect and injuries to four PDEA intelligence officers.
The incident occurred at around 5:30 PM on April 9, 2024, at #506 A, Aster Street, Goodwill 3 village, when the PDEA NCR Operating Unit conducted the buy-bust operation.
The suspect, identified as alias Sadam, allegedly from Datu Odin Sinsuat in Mindanao, was killed in the ensuing armed encounter.
The four injured PDEA intelligence officers were immediately transported to the nearby Parañaque Medical Center for treatment. Meanwhile, Sadam’s wife, alias Lalaine Pidodido, and two male house helpers, alias Aladin Salipad and Binladin Untog, were apprehended.
Evidence recovered from the scene included four packages containing sachets suspected to be shabu, estimated to weigh four kilograms with a street value of P27.2 million.
Authorities also seized a .45 caliber pistol, six live ammunitions, a magazine, two cellphones, a weighing scale, and approximately two million pesos in boodle money.
The financial transactions of the group are currently under investigation after a checkbook from a major bank was found. Two vehicles allegedly belonging to Sadam are also being examined by the scene of crime operations team. Investigators are also examining a .9 mm pistol and 23 spent bullet casings recovered from the crime scene.
