THIS is the amusing moment fish leapt from a lake during heavy rainfall in China. A group of large fish was spotted breaching the water in Shenyang, Liaoning, on July 26.
Footage shows the animals energetically jumping and moving towards the bridge amid the downpour, creating ripples across the lake.
This phenomenon occurs when fish sense changes in water oxygen levels, prompting them to jump in response to sudden environmental changes. Rainfall can increase oxygen levels as it mixes with the water.
