LOCAL cops in Quezon City are certainly ‘proud to be QCPD (QC Police District) and a coffee table book launched by their district director Brigadier General Remus Medina epitomizes their operational and administrative accomplishments during the QCPD chief’s 100-day stint as ‘Top Cop’ of the city.

In the simple ceremonies held at QCPD Hinirang Social Hall, the launching was graced by no less than former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief and currently Office of the President Undersecretary retired Gen. Debold Sinas.

The book event was also supported by Medina’s wife Jezebel Medina, herself a police colonel in the QCPD Command Group, as well as other special guests and the proud men and women that compose the QCPD.

Before the signing and launching of the book, an audio visual was presented highlighting all the major accomplishments of the district police.

In his message Gen. Medina proudly declared: “As I mark my 100 days in leading the QCPD, I am humbled by this coffee table book of tangible accomplishments that manifest our commitment in safeguarding the people and in providing quality police service especially to the residents of Quezon City.”

“We likewise highlight the success of our efforts to further strengthen ties with the community and shareholders enjoining their active participation and support to the peace keeping programs of QCPD,” he added.

The by-word “Proud to be QCPD” was actually coined during the term of then Brigadier General Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, who was district director but later transfered to Police Region Office (PRO) IVa and eventually promoted to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) in Bicutan, Taguig prior to his appointment as PNP chief.
