GALERIE Roberto proudly presents “Flow Intention”, a three-man exhibition featuring Gerry Joquico, Grae Joquico and Gary Joquico.
Creating tension in perspective of the audience and the artist is one of the discomforts that seeing the pieces of Joquico family would help to understand audience’s perspective by engaging at Joquico’s painting equipments.
On one side, it can be squeezing on the tube of an oil paint that could lead to its moderate flow. From it, somehow, triggers to create a tool that enables it to use as a medium. A way by showing the unseen through the visible. In this sense, Joquico’s pieces became window to various types of symbolism, and surrealism.
Each of us has a creative force pushing against our tough and busy lives like a river whose flow is clogged due to the walls. But it deliberately seeks a path to flow through each of us. For some, the wall was not built and the river flows into different areas of the canvas.
While for some the wall rose earlier and formed too high. In conjunction, we must learn from our creativity, exposing one in the state in which our mind will be receptive enough allowing the river to flow freely. While each wall and characteristic is unique, the receptivity to our creativity’s flow is the same.
For Gerry Joquico, Garry Joquico, Grae Joquico, current is one of one of the medium to continue their craft despite the noise and haste; the river is their home, arm that can be used as their hereditary power to welcome the essence.
In this series, we will see the grey area; the in between, the process of almost but not quite. Importantly, perfect or not perfect, there’s a beauty that vary or wound that reflected in the scars that have healed and to cure any injury as you would consult the point of view of those who was followed before by everyone.
