FORMER child star Niño Muhlach expresses his frustration over the alleged abuse and harassment of his son, Sandro, perpetrated by two GMA television network independent contractors.
During an inquiry Wednesday, August 7, 2024, on the policies of television networks and artist management agencies, a tearful Muhlach questioned how such abuse could happen to his family.
“It’s truly disheartening. If they can do this to a family that has made significant contributions to the entertainment industry, what more could they do to others, especially newcomers?” he said.
Earlier, a hotel representative submitted CCTV footage after the National Bureau of Investigation issued a subpoena to authenticate young actor Sandro Muhlach claims on what transpired during the alleged sexual attempt of two GMA executives.
Muhlach on Tuesday submitted more documents to the NBI in relation to the criminal complaint he filed against the network.
The 23-year-old was accompanied by his father, Niño Muhlach who also gave his official statement to the NBI.
The father and son had no statement about the case and those involved, but Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque confirmed that her clients, Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz, were the subjects of the complaint.
She also confirmed that they received the copy of the subpoena issued by the NBI Public Corruption Division setting the hearing for the investigation on August 9.
The young actor earlier filed a formal complaint before the GMA Network against Nones and Cruz after rumors spread online about the son of an actor who was allegedly violated by two men.
GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes confirmed that the two were placed in preventive suspension after Sandro filed the complaint. An independent body was also constituted to conduct the formal and impartial investigation.
