VICE President Sara Duterte has challenged all congressional candidates, including her brother Paolo Duterte and Margarita Nograles, to undergo drug tests.
She also volunteered to take a neuropsychiatric exam and a drug test, saying, “I’m game.”
Duterte, who is also a lawyer, said she has already taken two neuropsychiatric exams previously.
“As a voter I demand, magpa-drug test sila. Kayong lahat mga kababayan, you demand na mag-drug test ang mga congressional candidate dahil kung unstable ako, sa paningin ko, unstable rin sila,” she added.
She called on the Philippine Medical Association and the Philippine Psychiatric Association to set guidelines for the drug tests, advocating for independent third-party hair follicle testing.
“We need independent third party hair follicle testing. That’s why we are asking the help of the PMA, tulungan niyo kami [to help us] to set the guidelines,” she said.
Nograles, one of the candidates challenged, responded that she is “up for it” and will schedule the tests within the next few days.
