SENATOR Bong Go’s helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing in Pililla, Rizal, on Monday due to inclement weather. The senator, who was en route to Mabitac, Laguna, for the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the town’s Super Health Center, was unharmed, according to his staff.
Despite the unexpected delay, Senator Go remained committed to fulfilling his commitment to the residents of Mabitac. He expressed his gratitude to the local police and disaster response team for their assistance, and opted to deliver his message through a video call.
In addition to his message, Senator Go announced that the National Housing Authority (NHA) would be providing emergency housing aid to families affected by the recent weather events through its Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP). This aid aims to help families rebuild their homes and recover from the damage caused by the inclement weather.
Senator Go’s office confirmed that the senator is safe and in good health. He will continue his schedule as planned, albeit with a slight adjustment due to the weather-related incident.
