BINANGONAN, Rizal – Proclaimed local bets – including two newly elected councilors – have finally been sworn in as the new set of local officials for the lakeshore municipality.
Leading the pack of local official who took oath were Engr. Cesar Ynares who will be taking his third term in office as mayor, the local chief executive’s younger brother Cecilio Ynares as Vice-Mayor and eight councilors – two of whom are newly elected.
Ynares, who served as Binangonan mayor for 15 years, vowed to sustain what he has started even as he renewed his call among local government employees to maintain an honest, clean and effective service to the local folks whom he described as the very reason why there is a government. Interestingly, the re-elected mayor ran unopposed during the May 9 election.
He was sworn in by Binangonan Executive Judge Anna Francesca Limbo in front of his wife, Dr. Rose Martha Callanta Ynares; their son, Municipal Administrator Russel Ynares, his wife Jacqueline and kids Randel, Ryley and Rome; two of their daughters Dr. Clarissa Ynares del Rosario and her husband Louie, and Dr. Criselda Ynares Punzalan.
Those in attendance during the oath-taking include members of the judiciary, police, and officials of the Department of Education in Binangonan. Outgoing Rizal Gov. Rebecca Ynares showed up during the early part of the activity to bid farewell to the local officials and thank the people of Binangonan for supporting her programs.
