PRESIDENTIAL spokesperson Harry Roque said there will be no Duterte vs Duterte in 2022 elections.
This after President Rodrigo Duterte allegedly won’t join the vice presidential race but gunning for another elective post in next year’s elections.
Duterte’s resigned spokesperson Harry Roque dismissed rumors that the President and his eldest daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, will both pursue the vice presidency in 2022.
“Ang masasabi ko lang po, nagmamahalan po ang mag amang Rodrigo Roa Duterte at Mayor Inday Sara. Hinding hindi po sila magbabanggaan, hinding-hindi po sila maglalabanan sa kahit anong posisyon,” he told reporters at the Commission on Elections main office, shortly after he filed his candidacy for the Senate.
Roque, however, confirmed that the older Duterte would file his candidacy for a still unspecified position later in the afternoon at the Comelec office through a lawyer.
