admin November 15, 2021

THE Philippines continues to record more than a million jabs per day as more than three million vaccine doses were administered last week, announced Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque Jr.

“For three straight days in a row last week, pumapalo po tayo ng one million jabs,” said Secretary Roque in his last press briefing as Palace spokesperson, on November 15, 2021.

On November 10, a total of 1,052,600 doses were administered, while on November 11, the daily jabs recorded was 1,239,981 – the highest daily vaccinations recorded thus far, said Secretary Roque.

While on November 12, almost a million daily jabs were also logged at 971,159 total doses administered.

The Palace official also noted that the total vaccines administered nationwide is now nearing 70 million, as of November 14 data from the National COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard.

Of the total vaccine doses administered, 40.93 percent or around 31.5 million are now fully vaccinated, said Sec. Roque.

Meanwhile, in Metro Manila, almost 10 million individuals or 101.92 percent of the target population to be vaccinated, have received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 92.12 percent or equivalent to more than nine million individuals are fully vaccinated.

On vaccine deliveries, Roque said more vaccines continue to come as some 1,279,000 doses of Moderna vaccines that were procured by the national government arrived on November 13.

While on November 11, a total of 866,970 doses of Pfizer vaccines purchased by the government were delivered, said Sec. Roque.

On another matter, Secretary Roque mentioned about the first day of the pilot implementation of limited face-to-face classes today, November 15, 2021, in 100 public schools in the country.

Roque said the Palace continues to appeal for everyone involved in the implementation of the pilot face-to-face classes to adhere to the minimum public health standards.

“Isang hakbang ito tungo sa ligtas na pagbubukas ng mas marami pang paaralan sa buong bansa. Ligtas na Balik-Eskwela sa lahat,” Roque remarked
