DEFENSE Secretary Delfin Lorenzana is “in stable condition” after fainting during the Independence Day celebration at the Rizal Park in Manila Sunday, officials said.
Lorenzana attributed this to “fatigue from recent successive international security engagements” and the hot weather in Luneta.
“I’m fine now. Just resting since the results of the tests conducted earlier are okay,” he said in a Facebook post

My lack of rest and sleep from my recent successive international security engagements may have taken its toll on me. Late na kami nakabalik from Singapore, tapos napakainit pa sa Luneta kanina. But as the saying goes, a true soldier always gets up quickly after a fall.
