Farmers give thanks to Department of Agrarian Reform representatives after giving them land titles.
BUGALLON, Pangasinan – After nine years since their application for landholding, farmers from Barangay Hacienda in Bugallon, Pangasinan received their certificates of land ownership award (CLOA) from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
A total of 129 farmers’ beneficiaries received their CLOAs.
DAR Pangasinan provincial Information Officer Zarena Ann Amado stated that the farmers became agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) after they joined agrarian reform beneficiary organizations and will enjoy the benefits and privileges from DAR and other national government agencies.
She said the 40-hectare landholding in the barangay, which was owned by Eduardo Dee and sold to Dr. Macario Feliciano, was acquired by the DAR through compulsory acquisition and went through several legal processes before finally getting registered with the Registry of Deeds this year.
Beneficiaries of land titles extended their appreciation to DAR and the provincial government for their support during the turn-over ceremony held on June 1, 2022.
