AUTHORITIES seized more than P7 million worth of illegal drugs which was concealed in a water purifier during a controlled delivery operation in Malolos City, Bulacan.
Initial report reveals that the joint effort of PNP Aviation Security Unit NCR, NAIA IADITG and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency led to the arrest of Jonas Faustino, 24, who received the shipment.
The confiscated shabu was shipped via Tanaporn of Ban, Nong Phaya Chonthabouly, Vientiane, Laos through Philpost-CMEC, Domestic Road, Pasay City.
The illegal substance has an estimate value of P7,425,600 based in the current standard drug price.
“This is another product of careful intelligence gathering that resulted to the successful operation. We thank our counterparts for consistently partnering with our campaign against illegal drugs,” PNP OIC Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said.
The drug suspect will be facing charges in violation of Republic Act 9165.
