THE Bureau of Immigration has carried out the mass deportation of more than 100 Chinese nationals arrested in separate operations targeting illegal scam hubs across the country this October.
The group was taken into custody following raids in Zamboanga Sibugay on October 2 and in Cubao, Quezon City on October 12, where authorities uncovered facilities allegedly used to carry out various forms of online fraud and cyber‑related schemes. All those deported were found to be in the country in violation of immigration laws, working without proper authorization, and linked to the illicit operations.
Officials confirmed that the deportees were processed and formally sent out of the country after undergoing the necessary legal and administrative procedures.
The actions form part of intensified government efforts to dismantle criminal networks that have been exploiting Philippine territory to run scams targeting both local residents and individuals abroad. The Bureau emphasized that these operations are ongoing, with close coordination between immigration authorities, the Philippine National Police, and other law enforcement agencies to identify, raid, and shut down similar illegal facilities operating in different parts of the country.
Authorities have also warned that anyone found facilitating or providing cover for such scam hubs will face full legal accountability alongside the foreign nationals involved. The government has reiterated its commitment to protecting the country’s reputation and ensuring that those entering Philippine territory do so legally and for legitimate purposes. Further raids, arrests, and deportations are expected as the crackdown continues.
