NCR, over 60 other areas under Alert Level 1 until April 30

THE Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases

announced on Wednesday that the National Capital Region (NCR) will remain under Alert Level 1 from April 16 to 30, 2022. Other areas that will be under Alert Level 1 — the loosest among COVID-19 restrictions — are:

Kalinga

Dagupan City

Ilocos Norte

Ilocos Sur

La Union

Pangasinan

Batanes

Cagayan

City of Santiago

Isabela

Quirino

Angeles City

Aurora

Bataan

Bulacan

Nueva Ecija

Olongapo City

Pampanga

Tarlac

Zambales

Batangas

Cavite

Laguna

Lucena City

Rizal

Marinduque

Puerto Princesa City

Romblon

Oriental Mindoro

Catanduanes

Naga City

Albay

Aklan

Bacolod City

Capiz

Guimaras

Iloilo City

Cebu City

Lapu-Lapu City

Mandaue City

The following component cities and municipalities, meanwhile, will also be under Alert Level 1 from April 16 to 30, 2022:

Anini-y, Antique

Nuew Lucena, Iloilo

Tubungan, Iloilo

City of Victorias, Negros Occidental

Drvilla, Bohol

Sapang Dalaga, Misamis Occidental

Tantangan, South Cotabato

Under Alert Level 1, intrazonal and interzonal travel shall be allowed without regard to age and comorbidities.

All establishments, persons, or activities, are allowed to operate, work, or be undertaken at full on-site or venue/seating capacity provided it is consistent with minimum public health standards.

President Rodrigo Duterte earlier said the country will not deescalate to Alert Level 0 until  ‘everything is alright.’ The Department of Health (DOH) previously said it is eyeing to recommend placing some areas under Alert Level 0 but stepped back after Hong Kong, China and South Korea experienced surges in COVID-19 cases. 

On the other hand, the following areas will be under Alert Level 2 during the same period:

Occidental Mindoro

Palawan

Camarines Norte

Camarines Sur,

Masbate

Sorsogon

Antique,

Negros Occidental

Iloilo Province

Under Alert Level 2 certain establishments and activities are allowed at 50% capacity indoors for fully vaccinated adults (and minors, even if unvaccinated), and 70% capacity outdoors.
