In an advisory released via social media, the Embassy stated that US consular officers routinely notify Philippine authorities whenever they detect falsified Philippine documents during the visa evaluation process. The recent arrest came directly after the Embassy flagged the fraud and referred the matter to local law enforcement for appropriate action.
The Embassy emphasized that visa fraud is taken very seriously, with zero tolerance for deception or misrepresentation. “No secrets, no exceptions, no tolerance for fraud,” the Embassy declared.
Applicants caught using fake documents or misrepresenting facts face severe consequences, including permanent lifetime ineligibility to enter the United States, criminal prosecution, and arrest.
