Don Diaz
DON Diaz has been named one of the Philippine Outstanding Men of the Year 2026 by Best Magazine, under the distinguished leadership of the Philippines Awards Guru, Richard Hinola.

The prestigious recognition comes as Don approaches a personal milestone — on August 29, 2026, he will turn 50, marking his golden year with deep gratitude and pride for the remarkable journey that has shaped him into the leader and professional he is today. From humble beginnings to international acclaim, his story is one of unwavering dedication, bold ambition, and a lifelong commitment to service.

Don’s professional story began humbly in Thailand, where he spent five years working as an English and drama teacher. Those formative years laid the foundation for what would become his lifelong passions — communication, leadership, and service.
What started as a classroom role soon evolved into a calling that would take him across the globe. In 2006, he made a pivotal transition into the world of luxury hospitality, joining the renowned Parrot Cay Resort in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Starting in the Food and Beverage department, he spent a decade with the resort — five years mastering the art of guest service and operations, followed by another five years as Villa Manager. That ten‑year chapter became the bedrock of his career, teaching him resilience, attention to detail, and the true meaning of hospitality.
From there, his career continued to ascend. In 2016, he moved to St. Kitts and Nevis to serve as Assistant General Manager of the iconic Nisbet Plantation Beach Club, a position he held until December 2018. Each new destination broadened his perspective and refined his leadership.

In January 2019, he took on multiple key roles at Serenity at Coconut Bay — as Hotel Manager, Operations Manager, and Rooms Director — before answering the call to be closer to family. He moved to Cambodia to help lead Koh Russey Resort, where over more than four years he rose from executive assistant manager to general manager, guiding the entire property through the unprecedented challenges of the COVID‑19 pandemic with steady hands and vision.

Today, Don has returned to where much of his heart belongs — the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean — where he has served as Group Director of Hartling Villas since 2023. In this dynamic role, he oversees a diverse portfolio of luxury villas, manages dedicated butler teams, and works closely with property owners to ensure world‑class service. After more than 18 years working abroad as an Overseas Filipino Worker, his journey stands as a powerful testament to perseverance, adaptability, and the belief that humble beginnings can lead to truly extraordinary paths.
“I hope my story inspires others to pursue their own journeys with courage and purpose,” Don shares. “Thank you for this opportunity to be part of the awards in the Philippines. It is an honor to share my story.” As he celebrates his golden year and accepts this national honor, Don Diaz proves that with passion, hard work, and an unshakeable spirit, every destination becomes a step toward greatness.
