FORMER LandBank DepEd Branch Manager Nenita Camposano disclosed that the Department of Education encashed a total of ₱112.5 million through three separate checks, each amounting to ₱37.5 million.
She made this revelation while testifying on the financial transactions linked to the funds in question, noting that the manner and scale of the withdrawals stood out from regular procedures.
Camposano emphasized that the transactions were “unusual” compared to standard government disbursement practices she had observed during her tenure.
The encashment of such large amounts in check form, released in equal tranches, raised questions about the purpose, documentation, and protocols followed in processing these funds. Her account provides key details that may help clarify how public money was moved and utilized.
