THE body of an unidentified woman was discovered inside a blue suitcase wrapped in a black garbage bag along a creek in Barangay Tanyag, Taguig City last Friday, July 24.
According to the Taguig City Police Station, the victim is estimated to be between 35 and 40 years old. Authorities noted distinct markings on her body: a black band geometric tribal tattoo and a Philippine sun tattoo, which investigators hope will help lead to her identification.
The remains have been turned over to Loreto Funeral Homes for further examination and autopsy to determine the exact cause and manner of her death. Police are currently working to establish the victim’s identity, tracing any missing persons reports and following up on possible leads that may point to who she was and where she came from before being dumped at the site.
Investigators continue to look into how and why the body was discarded in the area, as well as who may be responsible for her death. They have appealed to the public, especially anyone who may recognize the described tattoos or has reported a missing relative or acquaintance matching the given age range, to come forward and provide information that could help move the case forward.
