A 36-year-old Filipina woman was killed in Negros Oriental after being repeatedly stabbed by her American husband.
According to a report, the crime occurred last Thursday at the couple’s home in Barangay Pinucauan, Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental. The 40-year-old suspect, a former member of the US Marines, has been arrested.
Police investigation revealed that the couple had a heated argument, which led to the suspect grabbing a knife and repeatedly stabbing the victim, who was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. The victim was found lying in a pool of her own blood on their bed.
According to police, the suspect also attempted to harm himself. Authorities are investigating the cause of the argument that led to the tragic crime. Efforts are being made to obtain a statement from the suspect, who will face parricide charges, according to the report.
