THREE more personnel from the Bureau of Immigration (BI) were sacked over the alleged special treatment given to Russian vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy during his stay at the bureau’s detention facility, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said on Monday.
Castro said a warden submitted a courtesy resignation that has already been accepted, while two deputy wardens were dismissed from their posts.
“First they removed three; now three more are dismissed,” she said at a briefing, not disclosing their names.
This came after Zdorovetskiy, following his deportation on January 17, posted photos and videos taken while under the local authorities’ custody.
“I had a phone the whole time in jail. I vlogged the whole experience. I’m going to expose the corruption,” Zdorovetskiy said during a livestreamed conversation with American online personality Adin Ross on January 23.
