METRO Manila commuters should take note: the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 2 and Metro Rail Transit (MRT) Line 3 will be operating on a reduced schedule for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
The Light Rail Transit Authority announced via Facebook that on December 31, the last commercial train from LRT-2’s Antipolo Station will depart at 7:00 p.m., while the last train from Recto Station will leave at 7:30 p.m. The first trains from both stations will depart at 5:00 a.m. Regular operations will resume on January 1, 2026.
Meanwhile, the MRT-3’s last train on New Year’s Eve will depart North Avenue Station at 7:45 p.m., with the last train from Taft Avenue Station leaving at 8:23 p.m. The first trip from North Avenue Station will be at 4:30 a.m., and the first trip from Taft Avenue Station will be at 5:05 a.m.
On January 1, both MRT-3 stations will begin operations at 6:30 a.m. The last train will depart North Avenue Station at 10:30 p.m., while the last train from Taft Avenue Station will leave at 11:09 p.m.
