New Jersey, USA – Pantone has announced “Cloud Dancer,” a billowy white hue, as its Color of the Year for 2026, describing it as “a symbol of calming influence in a frenetic society rediscovering the value of measured consideration and quiet reflection.”
According to Pantone, “Cloud Dancer” represents calm in a noisy world, offering a sense of peace and tranquility. The organization explained that the color signifies a desire for a fresh start, encouraging individuals to peel away layers of outdated thinking and embrace new approaches.
Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, emphasized that “Cloud Dancer” offers a promise of clarity, enhancing focus and providing release from the distractions of external influences. She stated that the color encourages relaxation, allowing the mind to wander and creativity to breathe, ultimately making room for innovation.
Pantone also highlighted the versatility of “Cloud Dancer,” noting that it can be used on its own or complemented with other colors, adapting, harmonizing, and creating contrast while bringing a lightness to any piece.
