A FIRE tragically claimed the lives of three family members, including two young children, in Purok 8, Barangay Gumalang, Baguio District, early Tuesday morning, November 25, 2025.
The fire, discovered at approximately 2:27 a.m., quickly engulfed the 30-square-meter home constructed from light materials, resulting in the complete destruction of the structure and the deaths of all three occupants.
According to FO3 Jason Iguana, fire investigator of BFP Calinan, substandard electrical wiring is the suspected cause of the blaze. Initial estimates place the property damage at ₱45,000. Investigators found no evidence of foul play, and the family chose not to request SOCO processing of the scene. The remains of the victims have been transported to Freedom Life Funeral in Calinan, Davao City.
