HOUSE Speaker Bojie Dy, despite holding one of the most powerful positions in the Philippine government, has declared a net worth of P74.019 million in his latest Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN), a figure that may surprise some observers.
The returning lawmaker, who assumed the speakership in September, released a copy of his SALN submitted to the House of Representatives in July. The document reveals that Dy owns 12 agricultural properties and four residential lots and homes valued at P32.53 million. Most of these properties were acquired in the 1990s and early 2000s, while the remaining four were inherited.
While his real estate holdings are relatively modest, Dy listed over P25.18 million in cash and P29.6 million in investments, bringing his personal assets to P88.62 million. This also includes five vehicles valued at P11.34 million.
Combining his real estate and personal assets, Dy’s total wealth amounts to P121.144 million. After deducting liabilities of P47.124 million, his net worth is P74.019 million. In addition to his assets, Dy disclosed his business interests, which include partnerships in Queen Isabela Agriventures and Love Cakes by Ann & Gan Co., as well as stockholdings in Isabela Hotel & Resort by Dy, Inc. and Northeastern Broadcasting Service, Inc.
