THE Philippine National Police (PNP) Directorate for Plans announced on Monday that 225,545 personnel have qualified to receive the performance-based bonus (PBB) for fiscal year 2023.
PNP Budget Division Chief Col. Veronica Agusin stated that the PNP scored 70 points on the 2023 PBB, entitling qualified personnel to a bonus equivalent to 45.5 percent of their base salary for that fiscal year. The Department of Budget and Management approved the bonus on October 15, releasing P3.3 billion in funding.
Agusin emphasized that the bonus would boost the morale and welfare of the police force, providing additional funds for daily expenses and the performance of their duties.
However, she also outlined specific criteria that would disqualify PNP personnel from receiving the bonus, including a performance rating below “very satisfactory,” being on leave for the entire year, being found guilty of administrative or criminal cases, failing to submit their SALN, or failing to liquidate cash advances.
