
MORE areas in Luzon have been placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 as Tropical Storm Ramil (international name: Fengshen) moved over Manila Bay, PAGASA announced late Sunday morning.
As of the 11 a.m. weather bulletin, Signal No. 2 is raised over the southeastern portion of Quirino, the central and southern portions of Nueva Vizcaya and Benguet, the central and southern portions of La Union, Pangasinan, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Zambales, the northern portion of Bataan, the northern portion of Metro Manila, Rizal, the northern portion of Laguna, and the northern portion of Quezon, including Pollilo Islands.
Meanwhile, Signal No. 1 is up over Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Isabela, the rest of Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, the rest of Benguet and La Union, Ilocos Norte and Sur, the rest of Bataan, the rest of Metro Manila and Quezon, the rest of Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Islands, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Camarines Norte and Sur, Catanduanes, the northern portion of Albay, and Burias Island. At 10 a.m., Ramil’s center was estimated to be located over Manila Bay, with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gusts of up to 90 km/h, moving west northwestward at 15 km/h.
