THREE uspected big-time drug pushers, including a Chinese national, were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted before dawn on Saturday, in Barangay Zapote 3, Bacoor City, Cavite.
Police identified the suspects as alyas Dave, alyas Sha, and a Chinese national known only as alyas Cho. The operation, a joint effort by the Bacoor Component City Police, the Drug Enforcement Unit, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), resulted in the seizure of over three kilograms of shabu with an estimated street value of P20,400,000.
Aside from the substantial amount of shabu, authorities also confiscated a Cal .45 Armscor pistol (serial number 1168426) with a loaded magazine and ammunition, a Cal .38 revolver with ammunition, an alien ID bearing the name “Byeongjun Cho,” several cell phones, an orange bag with Chinese characters, a black bag, and the suspects’ vehicle, a 1997 Honda Civic with plate number WEW 40.
The suspects are currently in police custody and will face charges in accordance with Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Further investigations are underway to determine the extent of the suspects’ operations and any potential connections to larger drug trafficking networks.
