A JOINT buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP DEG) in Barangay Bulihan, Plaridel, Bulacan resulted in the arrest of two men – a Filipino and a Chinese national.
Authorities seized over 100 kilograms of illegal drugs with an estimated street value exceeding P700 million.
The confiscated drugs are suspected to be shabu and possibly cocaine.
The PNP DEG is currently investigating a potential link between this seizure and the recent discovery of floating shabu in the waters of Zambales and Ilocos provinces. The suspects will be charged under Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
