SENATOR Risa Hontiveros issued a strong statement refuting recent allegations made by a self-proclaimed former witness in the Senate hearings concerning the crimes of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
The senator firmly stated that the allegations are completely false, asserting that her office possesses substantial evidence to contradict the claims.
Hontiveros emphasized that all witnesses who testified during the Senate hearings did so voluntarily and freely, providing testimonies and evidence that are thoroughly documented and corroborated by multiple agencies and officials.
The senator further revealed that she believes this individual has been coerced or compensated to undermine the ongoing criminal proceedings against Quiboloy and, alarmingly, to intimidate her staff and other witnesses who have spoken out against Quiboloy’s alleged crimes.
Hontiveros stressed her determination to pursue legal action against those responsible for the harassment and intimidation, promising a robust legal response and vowing to hold those behind the threats accountable. She indicated that various screenshots and videos are available to support her claims and will be released at the appropriate time.
