
A 25-year-old De La Salle University (DLSU) law student, Anthony Granada, who went missing on June 8, was found dead in Naic, Cavite on Saturday, June 21.
Granada was last seen boarding a Grab car from his condominium unit along C-5 Road in Taguig City, heading towards Naic Town Plaza.
According to Taguig police officer-in-charge Col. Rodel Pastor, the Grab driver reported Granada was calm during the ride. CCTV footage from June 17 shows Granada walking alone past 9:20 p.m. near Lopez Jaena Bridge.
Naic police discovered Granada’s body in an advanced state of decomposition in a vacant lot in Barangay Sapa.
His brother, Ricky Granada, positively identified the remains. Authorities have ruled out foul play as the cause of death.
In a Facebook post, Ricky Granada requested privacy for the family during their time of grief. The circumstances surrounding Granada’s death remain unclear pending further investigation.
The discovery brings a tragic end to the search for the missing law student.
