SENATOR Grace Poe issued a statement expressing deep gratitude for the trust and support she received during her term.
She emphasized that her service extended beyond her role as Senator, encompassing a personal connection with Filipinos as a mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
She highlighted the significant contribution of her constituents in establishing her foundation, providing it with its name, mission, and physical home. In return, she stated that she dedicated her whole heart to her work, calling it the greatest honor of her life.
Despite acknowledging a recent setback, described metaphorically as “the tide may have fallen,” Senator Poe affirmed her commitment to fulfilling her promises.
She cited her father, Fernando Poe Jr. (FPJ), and Mama Susan as sources of inspiration and motivation, indicating a continued dedication to the principles they represented. Her statement also acknowledged the millions of Filipinos who placed their trust in her, underscoring the broad base of support she has enjoyed.
Looking ahead, Senator Poe characterized the situation as an ongoing narrative with potential for unexpected developments.
She used the phrase “Our page is still open – there might be a plot twist,” suggesting a willingness to adapt and overcome challenges. Concluding with an invitation to “watch out for the next chapter,” she conveyed a message of resilience and determination to continue her service to the Filipino people.
