LTO launches real-time tracking, home delivery for driver’s licenses, plates

admin April 28, 2025

THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) has announced a new service allowing motorists to track their driver’s licenses and license plates in real-time and have them delivered directly to their homes. The initiative, dubbed “LTO Tracker,” aims to eliminate long wait times and address the significant backlog of motor vehicle plates.

The online platform, accessible at ltotracker.com, provides users with real-time updates on the status of their documents, allowing them to monitor their journey from the LTO facility to their doorstep via an accredited courier service. Users can also update delivery details and pre-book deliveries through the platform.

This service, however, excludes foreign nationals. Foreign driver’s licenses will continue to be delivered through the Philippine Postal Service.

Transportation Secretary Vivencio Dizon hailed the launch as a “historic move toward full digitalization,” stating that it brings LTO services closer to Filipinos. He emphasized that while home delivery is now an option, clients can still choose to personally collect their documents. Dizon also highlighted the system’s role in creating a more organized and efficient process within LTO offices.

LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II explained that the delivery service is a key step in resolving the long-standing backlog of motor vehicle plates dating back to 2014. Mendoza stressed the initiative’s alignment with the President’s vision for digitalizing government services, emphasizing that it’s not just about efficient delivery but also about restoring public trust and modernizing LTO processes.
