AKO Bicol party-list Representative Zaldy Co has issued a strong denial of online reports linking him to the International Criminal Court (ICC) and claiming he traveled to The Hague, Netherlands.
In a statement released today, Rep. Co stated he has “no connection to the ICC” and is not in The Hague.
He confirmed recent international travel, but specified it was for a personal meeting in Rome, Italy. He provided details of his travel itinerary, showing departure from Manila on Emirates Flight EK333 to Dubai on March 11, 2025, and onward to Rome on Emirates Flight EK0097 on March 12.
Rep. Co further refuted claims connecting him to the RP-C5219 Gulfstream G550 aircraft allegedly used to transport former President Rodrigo Duterte to The Netherlands, stating that he does not own the aircraft.
He noted that the news website Politiko reported the flight was allegedly arranged by Challenger Aero Corporation.
He attributed the false reports to a deliberate campaign of disinformation aimed at diverting public attention.
He urged the public and media to exercise caution and verify information through official channels to combat the spread of misinformation.
