THE Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) conducted a raid on an illegal liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) refilling station in Barangay 163, Sta. Quiteria, Caloocan City, seizing ₱25 million worth of LPG cylinders and equipment.
Acting on a search warrant issued by a Caloocan court for unauthorized sale and distribution of petroleum products, the CIDG arrested eight employees on Friday.
While no owners were present during the raid, authorities confiscated numerous LPG tanks, along with filling scales, hoses, nozzles, and trucks used in the illegal refilling and transportation of the gas.
The suspects will be charged under Batas Pambansa 33 (an act penalizing acts inimical to public interest and national security) and Republic Act 11592 (the LPG Industry Regulation Act).
