AGRI Partylist representative and senatorial candidate Wilbert Lee has withdrawn from the 2025 senatorial race. Lee announced his withdrawal during a press conference, citing lack of “machinery” as one of the primary reasons.
“During my travels around the country, I realized that our current machinery is not enough to reach all Filipinos and to introduce and communicate my advocacies. It became clear to me that we need more time to strengthen our connection with our fellow Filipinos and to have sufficient readiness and machinery for a successful campaign,” Lee stated.
He added that he will focus on the Agri Partylist, which will be running in the upcoming elections.
“The AGRI Party-list will continue its campaign, striving to fulfill its mandate as a representative of the agricultural sector and the most vulnerable sectors of society. Until the end of my term, I will dedicate myself to the advocacies of the AGRI Party-list, including increased support for agriculture, protection for our farmers, fishermen, and local food producers – our ‘food security soldiers’ – to achieve affordable food for all,” he emphasized.
Lee expressed his gratitude to his supporters, particularly his family, campaign team, supporters, and volunteers.
He clarified that his withdrawal was not due to health reasons.
