THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced that the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will affect Northern Luzon on Monday, while easterlies will prevail across the rest of the country.
Batanes, Cagayan, and Apayao provinces can expect cloudy skies with light rains, while the Ilocos Region will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light showers. No significant impact is anticipated in these areas.
Mindanao may see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, potentially resulting in moderate to heavy rainfall and flash floods or landslides. Similar conditions, though less severe, are possible in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Northern Luzon and eastern Mindanao, while the rest of the country will experience slight to moderate conditions. Sunrise is at 6:24 a.m., sunset at 5:56 p.m.
PAGASA also reported a low (zero to one) probability of a tropical cyclone forming in February. Any such cyclone is expected to weaken or dissipate before reaching land. As of Tuesday, no tropical depressions or low-pressure areas are currently affecting the country.
