A PORTION of the apartment tombs in Bagbag Public Cemetery in Quezon City caught fire on November 1, Undas, All Saint’s Day.
According to a report from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire started in an area occupied by informal settlers on the edge of the cemetery around 9:00 a.m.
The fire spread quickly and was raised to the first alarm at 9:02 a.m.
It was elevated to the second alarm a few minutes later and declared under control at 9:45 a.m.
The fire was declared out at 10:17 a.m.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
