A 23-year-old fisherman in Cebu tragically died after a live fish he caught slipped into his throat when he tried to bite its head.
According to a report by GTV News “State of the Nation” on Monday, the fisherman’s companion recounted that the victim had joined him in fishing. While pulling in the net, the victim picked up one of the live fish and attempted to bite its head. The fish struggled, however, and managed to enter the fisherman’s throat, blocking his airway.
The report did not specify the size of the fish, but it mentioned that the man’s throat swelled significantly.
