AUTHORITIES arrested two suspected drug peddlers and seized P9.6 million worth of marijuana on Thursday, February 10, 2022.
Joint elements of Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit, Drug Enforcement Group, San Miguel Municipal Police Station, and PDEA-Bulacan conducted an anti-illegal drugs bust operation at Brgy. Paliwasan, San Miguel, Bulacan which led to the arrest of Dexter Asban, 20, and Jomerson Macusi, 26.
Appropriate charges for violations of Section 5 and 11, Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 are being readied against the suspects.
The PNP is currently tracing the network of drug supply of both arrested individuals to determine the source of the confiscated items.
“This is a work in progress. Our police units and other law enforcement agencies are coordinating round the clock to neutralize the operations of syndicates engaged in trafficking and distribution of illegal drugs,” PNP Chief General Dionardo Carlos said.
Carlos said that the series of anti-criminality operations should be lauded because it shows that the PNP is actively keeping the country away from harm and violence to boost the public’s confidence.
