AGENTS of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) have arrested an influencer and her partner in an operation for allegedly exploiting an underage boy in the production of explicit videos for their social media channel.
According to a report on ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol, the arrest followed a complaint from the minor’s family, alleging that the suspects coerced the child into participating in the production of sexually explicit content.
The NBI said the suspects promised the minor P300 in exchange for appearing in the video.
The victim revealed that the videos were created over several days, with the content eventually being leaked online.
“He gave me money to do what they asked,” the victim said in Filipino, recounting how the videos were made and shared without consent.
The influencer, who was not identified and interviewed with her face covered, admitted to producing explicit content for the channel, while her partner, who was also arrested, acted as the director and videographer.
“We were offered a significant amount, with an equal split of P800 and P400,” the suspect told ABS-CBN.
Olga Gonzales, head of the NBI’s Human Trafficking Division, said the suspects would face multiple charges, including violations of the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act, the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) law, and the anti-child abuse law.
