Coast Guard rescues 26 passengers, crew members of stranded vessel en route to Bohol

THE Coast Guard Station Siquijor in collaboration with MRRV 4408 Cape San Agustine successfully rescued the MV APEKOP 2 in Larena, Siquijor on Sunday.

The passenger vessel, en route to Tagbilaran, Bohol experienced a fuel injection pump malfunction, which left it stranded at sea.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) promptly responded and rescued the 26 passengers and crew members, all of whom were in good physical condition.

Following the rescue, the MV APEKOP 2 was towed to Larena Port for necessary repairs and maintenance.
