25 of 61 villages covered in ashfall after Mt. Kanlaon eruption

THE Bacolod Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office reported 25, or close to half of the 61 villages in the city reported sulfurous odor since last night after the phreatic eruption of Mt. Kanlaon.

The affected are: Sum-ag, Taculing, Mansilingan, Villamonte, Handumanan, Felisa, Cabug, Singcang-Airport, Alijis, Bata, Punta Taytay, 11, 27, 31, 38, Estefania, Mandalagan, Tangub, Montevista, Alangilan, Pahanocoy, Vista Alegre, Banago and Granada.

A netizen from La Castellana, Negros Occidental shared the severity of ash fall in their area due to the explosive eruption of Kanlaon Volcano on Monday.

Kanlaon Volcano remains under Alert Level 2 after its increased unrest on Tuesday, according to Phivolcs.
