Motorbanca capsizes off Masbate waters, 48 individuals rescued

THE Philippine Coast Guard rescued 48 individuals, including crew, of a motorbanca which capsized in the vicinity waters off Peñafrancia, Claveria, Masbate on Friday.

The report said MBCA Oceanus Uno encountered bad weather and was hit by strong waves causing it to capsize.

Immediately, the PCG and Aroroy MDRRMO personnel boarded two rescue boats and proceeded to the vicinity waters to provide assistance. All rescued passengers were in good condition and were turned over to the Rural Health Unit Aroroy Municipal Hospital for medical attention.
