SOME four million delisted Pinoy voters have been urged to reactivate their voter registration so they can cast their vote during the midterm elections ind 2025.
Commission on Elections (Comelec) chair George Garcia said the delisted voters can reactivate their registration during the general registration of voters, which would end on September 30.
He clarified that delisted voters “are still voters,” as their records remained in the Comelec database, except that they were barred from voting as a penalty.
Last week, Garcia said a total of 4,239,484 voters were delisted, mostly as a result of failing to vote in two successive preceding regular elections.
Another 1,829 were excluded by court order, while 595 failed to validate their registration, and three others lost their Filipino citizenship.
According to Garcia, delisted voters may apply for reactivation in their local election office or in selected satellite registration and “Register Anywhere Program” stations.
