SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez on Wednesday administered the oath of office to Rep. David Suarez, who was elected as the new Deputy Speaker (DS) of the House of Representatives last Monday vice former Batangas Representative now Finance Secretary Ralph Recto.
Suarez is currently the representative of the Second District of Quezon Province. He spearheaded the passage of the bill that became Republic Act 11463 or the “Malasakit Centers Act,” which paved the way to make medical assistance more convenient and accessible to more Filipinos nationwide.
In his Facebook page, Suarez expressed his commitment to never waste the trust given to him as one of the leaders in the House. He further pledged to fulfill his duties with honesty and a strong commitment to serving the nation.
