SENATOR Jinggoy Estrada is “keeping his fingers crossed” on the looming promulgation of decision in his plunder case in the Sandiganbayan, which is set today, Friday.
“I hope it will be favorable. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Hopefully, I hope to get a favorable decision,” the son of former President Joseph Estrada said.
Estrada admitted that the trial had affected him and his family greatly.
“Siyempre parang sword of Damocles hanging over my head.” he said.
Estrada was accused of misusing his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) share in the pork barrel scam by funneling the funds into bogus foundations controlled by businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles, who has been convicted in multiple pork scam cases.
Estrada allegedly received some P183 million in kickbacks for endorsing the fraudulent Napoles NGOs.
